This classic cookie recipe revives the nostalgia of Christmas holidays and here’s a simple way to recreate the memories by preparing them at home.
Take a pan and boil ½ cup sugar, ½ cup molasses, ½ tbsp ground ginger, ½ tsp cinnamon, salt and whisk it well. Next, add 1 tsp baking soda,1/2 butter, 1 egg and 1 cup flour, and knead the dough. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, once the roll is hard, dust some flour and using cookie cutters, place the cookies on a baking tray, bake to perfection. Once done, decorate with royal icing and enjoy.
